The coating prepared by adding nano-alumina can greatly improve the hardness, scratch resistance and wear resistance of the coating, which is 2-4 times higher than the traditional coating.

The addition of nano-alumina can reduce the volume shrinkage of the coating during curing and improve the adhesion between the coating and the substrate.


1. Application of nano-alumina in epoxy resin wear resistance
The wear resistance and bonding force of the epoxy resin filled with 1-5% nano alumina powder are equivalent to those of the epoxy resin not filled with nano powder, and the wear resistance is improved by about 130%. %, the bonding strength is increased by about 50%. At this time, the microstructure of the composite material is a continuous and homogeneous phase with small and scattered particles in the epoxy resin matrix.
Nano-alumina particles with high surface energy are evenly embedded in the three-dimensional network structure formed by epoxy resin curing, and its pinning effect is obvious, which effectively enhances the internal bonding force of epoxy resin, so it can withstand greater stress rather than destroy.


2, the application of nano-alumina in automotive paint
The anti-scratch performance of nano-paints added with nano-alumina is improved. The molecular length of the nano-paint binder is relatively large. When subjected to external loads, such as car wash brushes, sand and gravel on the road, ultraviolet radiation, and erosion by chemical media, the nano-paint can maintain its luster for a longer time.
Scrub experiments were carried out on nano-painted cars with car wash liquid containing a certain amount of quartz sand. In the test, washing the car 10 times is equivalent to washing the car 50 to 100 times in real life. After 10 such car wash tests, the residual gloss of ordinary paint is only 35%, while the residual gloss of nano paint is still more than 70%, and there is basically no scratches.
