1.1 Refractory
ZrB2 ceramics are excellent special refractory materials, which can be used as high temperature thermocouple protection sleeves, molds, metallurgical metal crucibles, etc. When used as a thermocouple protection sleeve, because it is not very airtight and has electrical conductivity, it must be matched with an alumina inner sleeve to perform effective temperature measurement. 1.2 electrode material
ZrB2 has a low electrical resistivity and a conductive mechanism for electron conduction, which is suitable for contact materials and electrode materials. It can be applied to electrodes of metal thermocouples and high temperature heating elements. If the ZrB2 and graphite paired thermocouple materials are experimentally proven to work in an oxidizing atmosphere at 1200-1600 ° C, the thermoelectric potential value is large, reaching about 70 mV at 1600 ° C, and the thermoelectric potential rate is high. It is a good thermocouple material for continuous temperature measurement in some special applications where metal thermocouples and radiation thermometers are not suitable.


1.3 Other materials
Due to its extremely high hardness, ZrB2 is a good wear resistant material and is a good tool for cutting tools and cutting tools. ZrB2 has good corrosion resistance.
