What is boron nitride coating and how to use it?

January 11,2019.

BN-SAT08 High-temperature Release Agent

Product Characteristics

Environment Friendly: Boron nitride is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-polluting
Chemical Properties:  Strong non-stick properties in high temperature environment, stability in high temperature
Physical Properties: Electrical insulator, low dielectric constant, good thermal conductivity and high lubricity
Product Features: Special formula, water-based, easy to use, long-acting formula

This type of coating is suitable for all kinds of release agents which need to be operated at high temperature (the product can withstand high temperature of 2800 C). For example, glass industry, metal welding industry, etc., can effectively lubricate and isolate the interface, which can make the processing more smoothly. Sintering of metal and ceramic powders is usually carried out on graphite plate. After coated with boron nitride coating on graphite, the pollution, reaction and bonding phenomena of carbon on sintered parts which may occur during sintering process can be eliminated obviously.

Usage method:

This product can be diluted by deionied water or distilled water. Customers should choose the suitable consistency according to different use environments. After full stirring, brushed or sprayed the BN coating on the surface of the die (the coating should not be thick). By spraying is better if available. The coating can be treated, smoothed and polished with dry soft cotton cloth after it dry.

The use of boron nitride coatings:

1. Clean the surface of the material, rinsing it the spray boron nitride coating

2.  It is recommend for the new flume is about 23 microns thick by 1:4 dilution, and the old flume is about 20 microns thick by 1:6 dilution.

3. Use sponge (brush, spray gun) to coat the diluted boron nitride paint on the surface of the material, or adjust the dilution multiple as needed.

4. after coating, oven-dried at about 300 C.

5. For inaccessible local coatings (such as the inner wall of thin tubes), the coated parts can be immersed in diluted boron nitride coatings, and the excess coatings will flow out naturally after removal, then wait it dry.

6. The boron nitride coating should be even, the surface should not be aggregated or too thick.

7. Note: The use method is not fixed; users could make formula by self-experimental deployment!

Storage Notes:

This product is non-toxic and harmless. If it touches the skin, wash it with clean water. Store it in a cool and dry place. If freezing or precipitation occurs, it will not affect the use effect of the product, and after stirring it even can be continued to use.
