Precious metal nanomaterials, as a new class of materials, are used in various fields such as electronics, chemical industry, machinery, energy, metallurgy, ceramics and transportation, biology and medicine. The industrialization of precious metal nanomaterials is the process of transforming the relevant basic principles and preparation methods into realistic and operable production processes. Compared with the industrialization of general products, there are many characteristics.

1. The feasibility of the production process
In the production of precious metal nanomaterials, raw materials (precious metals or related compounds) account for a large proportion of the production cost, and the losses caused by any mistakes or failures in small-scale, pilot-scale or formal production are considerable. Therefore, in the industrialization process of precious metal nanomaterials, whether the production process is feasible is very important to the company. A feasible production process of precious metal nanomaterials should at least meet the following conditions: the raw materials must be readily available and suitable from an economic point of view; the second is that the production process must include the recycling of precious metal waste; the third is whether the key technologies in the process have been passed through. Tried and tested with good stability and repeatability.

2. Pilot test
In addition to meeting the pilot-scale requirements of general products, the following issues should also be considered: First, the amount of precious metals fed in a pilot-scale test should be at least 10-50% of that in a formal production. If the feeding amount is too small, the purpose of the pilot test will not be achieved; if the feeding amount is too large, it will cause trouble if the pilot test fails and lead to excessive losses. Second, the equipment used in the pilot test process, except for the volume and size, should be made of the same material with the same texture as the equipment used in the formal production. The third is to fully consider the impact of pilot scale-up on the reaction process and subsequent unit operations. Fourth, in the process of the pilot test, the production operation rules, the responsibilities of each post and the precious metal safety system should be formed.

3. Infrastructure and equipment procurement and installation
For the deep processing of precious metals, two factors should be fully considered: safety and environmental protection. According to the planned production varieties and production capacity and the scale of infrastructure construction, work out the infrastructure design drawings, construction drawings and equipment installation drawings.

4. Trial production

According to the operating procedures and related systems formed in the pilot test process, the relevant personnel are assigned to the production process. The material is fed according to the feeding amount of the formal production, and the operating parameters of the entire trial production process are recorded in detail, so as to form a formal operating procedure. The obtained test products of precious metal nanomaterials should not only be inspected according to the predetermined inspection items and plans, but also the test products should be handed over to customers for trial in time, and the corresponding relationship between the user's use effect and the inspection results of Hongwu Nano Factory should be gradually established. The quality inspection of materials lays the foundation.

The development time of precious metal nanomaterials is relatively short, but it has shown a strong development trend. Its general development trend can be summarized as transformation--intensive--multi-functionalization. The transformation is based on the traditional precious metal deep processing industry. Precious metal nanomaterials are generally not final products, and they work to improve the performance of downstream products rather than completely change the production process of downstream products. Cost reduction is to reduce the production cost and use cost of precious metal nanomaterials. Intensification means that the production of precious metal nanomaterials must pay attention to the scale effect, because the production process of precious metal nanomaterials involves many high-tech factors, and the requirements for raw materials, production and testing equipment are very high. Only intensive production can really reduce production costs and improve product quality. Multi-functionalization means that the properties of the produced precious metal nanomaterials must be very different from conventional materials, but also compatible with conventional materials, and the product must be widely used.
