After implantation of the body, calcium and phosphorus will be free from the surface of the material absorbed by the body tissue, and the growth of new tissue. Studies have shown that the smaller the grain of hydroxyapatite, the higher the biological activity. The main component of the enamel on the surface of the tooth is also hydroxyapatite.Hydroxyapatite is the main inorganic constituent of human bone tissue. After implantation in the body, calcium and phosphorus will free the surface of the material to be absorbed by body tissues and grow new tissue. Studies have shown that the finer the crystallites of hydroxyapatite, the higher the biological activity. The main component of the enamel on the tooth surface is also hydroxyapatite. Hydroxyapatite can be obtained by means of its own production. There are many methods for producing hydroxyapatite powder. The more common methods include precipitation method, hydrolysis method, hydrothermal method and solid phase method. Among them, the hydrothermal method is more complicated and expensive. Compared with the hydrothermal method, the precipitation method is simple in operation, cheap in equipment, and large in productivity. Most of the methods are currently based on this method. But the precipitation method has some disadvantages, such as the powder is easy to gather together, the quality is unstable, etc.
