Boron nanopowder is a brown-black odorless powder with active chemical properties. Boron compounds have a history of thousands of years, but it was not until 1808 that boron was discovered by two French chemists, Sir Humphrey David and Sir J.L. Guy Lussac. The name boron is derived from the combination of carbon and the Arabic word "buraqu" (borax). It mainly exists in nature through borate minerals. Heating borax with carbon is the key process for obtaining boron.

Application of Metallic Boron Powder:

1. Boron nanopowder is used as an additive in the pyrotechnic industry.

2. Apply for raw materials to produce other borides and coatings or hardeners.

3. Deoxidizer in anaerobic smelting, ignition agent in car airbags.

4. Additives in MgO-C bricks for high temperature steelmaking furnaces.
