1. Physical properties: TiB2 powder is very similar to titanium carbide, which is an important basic material of cermet (such as hardness, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and oxidation resistance).

2. Chemical properties: In terms of chemical stability, TiB2 powder is more stable than tungsten carbide or silicon nitride when in contact with pure iron.

Application of Titanium Diboride Nanopowder:

1. High hardness, medium strength and good wear resistance make titanium diboride a candidate material for sealing parts, wearing parts and composite materials with other materials and cutting tools.

2. Combine with other ceramics that are mainly oxides, and use TiB2 powder to form composite materials. The presence of this material helps increase the strength and fracture toughness of the matrix.

3. Bulletproof armor: The combination of high hardness and medium strength makes it attractive to bulletproof equipment, but its relatively high density and difficult to form parts make it less attractive than other ceramics.

4. Aluminum smelting: The chemical inertness and good conductivity of TiB2 powder have made it used as a cathode in the Hall-Heroult electrolytic cell used for primary aluminum smelting. It can also be used as a crucible and metal evaporating dish for processing molten metal.
