Transition metal carbides and nitrides are called Mxenes. MXenes are layered solids, such as Ti 2 AlC, Ti 3 AlC 2 and Ta 4 AlC 3, which are selectively etched into a MAX phase with metal conductivity and connected by strong metallic bond, ionic bonds and covalent bond. Mxenes combine hydroxyl groups and oxygen on the surface of transition metal carbides to terminate the conductivity of the metal. It is essentially conductive. Our company independently developed and prepared Ti2AlC (211 structure) and Ti3AlC2 (312 structure), among which Ti3AlC2 (312 structure) is more easily etched.
