Product Performance

Lanthanum hexaboride (LaB6) has a CsCl structure (belonging to a simple cubic crystal system). The difference is that the B6 octahedral cluster occupies the position of Cl and La occupies the position of Cs. Generally speaking, the color of LaB6 is purple, but due to the structural defects in LaB6, there are changes due to the La:B ratio, such as black, cyan, and so on.

Application of LaB6 Powder:

Lanthanum Hexaboride is used in more than 20 military and high-tech fields such as radar aerospace, electronic industry, instrumentation, medical equipment, household appliances,metallurgy, environmental protection, etc. Its series products mainly include three kinds of powder, multi crystal and single crystal. In particular, single crystals of LaB6 are the best materials for the production of high power electron tube, magnetic control device, electron beam, ion beam and accelerator cathode.

Used for the surface coating of PE film sheet, to cut off infrared ray of the sunshine.
